Places To Visit
Gorumara National Park
Gorumara National Park is the famous national park of Dooars which at first was declared as the wildlife sanctuary in 1949. This national park covers the area of about 80 sq. km. and got the status of the national park on 31st January 1994.
Chapramari Wildlife Sanctuary
Chapramari Wildlife Sanctuary was established in 1998 and it is located close to Gorumara National Park. This famous wildlife sanctuary of the Dooars region covers the total area of 96 sq. km
Jaldapara National Park
Jaldapara National Park is a well renowned national park in Dooars as it is famous for the huge population of Indian-one horned rhinoceros and was declared as the national park in May 2012.
Buxa Tiger Reserve
Buxa Tiger Reserve was established in 1983 for the conservation and protection of Tiger. Buxa Tiger Reserve has the second-highest number of Tigers in West Bengal after Sunderbans.
How to reach Dooars
Road
After arriving at Siliguri, book a car from there and travel towards Dooars. The roadway is the best way to reach the Dooars region with a sensational roadtrip.
Train
The nearest railway station for the visitors to reach Dooars is Madarihat and Jaldapara is near to this railway station. The express train stops at Hasimara Railway Station and sanctuary is 20 km away from the station.
